Nurse practitioner, owner

-22+ years combined RN/NP experience
-Masters Degree (MSN)
-AANP board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
-Specialties include emergency medicine, urgent care, integrative & longevity medicine, and regenerative medicine.

Emily is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Indiana University and worked for 10 years as a RN in a variety of settings  with most of her experience in the emergency department and critical care ground/air transport (fixed-wing).

Emily received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree graduating with academic honors from California State University in 2011 with an academic concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) studies. Since graduation, her main area of practice has been in emergency medicine and she currently works part-time in the ER at Northern Nevada Medical Center (Sparks) and Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center (South Reno). She also has several years experience in primary care and urgent care. For three semesters between  2007 and 2015, Emily had the privilege of  sailing all over the world with the Semester at Sea study abroad program as a member of the 2-3 person shipboard medical staff treating students, faculty, staff, and dependents. Prior to moving to NV in 2021, Emily worked in inpatient medicine as a hospitalist for 1.5 years at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego.

Emily is certified as an Advanced Wilderness Life Support (AWLS)  provider through WMS, and she is  currently pursuing a post-masters certification in advanced metabolic endocrinology through the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (A4M).

Emily relocated to Incline Village in September 2021 with the desire to incorporate more preventative, integrative, and regenerative medicine into her daily practice while still utilizing her emergency medicine, urgent care, and primary care knowledge for residents and visitors of the Tahoe Basin area. Thus, the plan to open her own healthcare business was realized and High Sierra House Calls was established in November 2021.

During her time-off Emily enjoys skiing, sailing, tennis, camping (pretty much all outdoor Tahoe activities), and any travel adventure! She is also a volunteer member of the Washoe County sheriff's HASTY search and rescue (SAR) team.
